Education Enrichment

We believe that learning goes far beyond the classroom, and we are proud to offer a diverse, inspiring range of enrichment opportunities that help every student discover their passions, develop new skills, and build confidence for life.

We are proud of the wide range of different clubs on offer which run before school, during lunchtime and after school. From creative arts, sports, and STEM challenges to chess, coding and Mythology – there is something for all. We encourage students to explore, experiment, and excel. Whether they are trying something new or deepening an existing interest, students are supported by dedicated staff who are committed to nurturing talent and fostering curiosity.

Our enrichment offer is further strengthened by a rich programme of visits and educational experiences beyond the school gates. These range from local cultural and sporting trips to national museums, universities, theatres, and centres of excellence, as well as residential opportunities that build independence and resilience. These visits bring learning to life, deepen students’ understanding of the world around them, and provide memorable experiences that broaden horizons and spark ambition.

Music Programme

We value the importance of every student having the opportunity to learn a musical instrument, and we are grateful to Futures Charity for enabling us to offer subsidised 1to1 and small group tuition delivered by our highly skilled team of peripatetic music teachers.

Students can also take part in a wide range of ensembles, suitable for both beginners and more advanced musicians. These include woodwind and string groups, a guitar ensemble, and our KS3 and KS4 choirs.

 Duke of Edinburgh

Students have the opportunity to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE) programme.  The Award is a nationally recognised scheme that supports young people in developing essential life skills through volunteering, physical activity, learning new skills, and completing an adventurous expedition. By taking part, students build confidence, resilience and independence, while gaining valuable experiences that stay with them long after they leave school.
