Pastoral Care
At Barclay Academy, every student’s wellbeing is a priority. We believe young people achieve their best when they feel safe, supported, and valued. Our staff work together to ensure each student receives the care and guidance they need throughout their time with us.
Our Pastoral Team supports students’ emotional, social, and personal development, promoting positive behaviour, healthy relationships, and helping them through times of challenge or change.
Every student is part of a tutor group and meets daily with their form tutor. This regular contact helps them build strong relationships, develop key skills, and feel supported by both their tutor and their peers.
We are an ambitious and caring school where students are encouraged to aim high and act with respect, kindness, and responsibility. Our culture blends high expectations with a nurturing environment, helping every child grow, challenge themselves, and take pride in their achievements.
