Welcome

Barclay Academy Sixth Form is an academic sixth form with the highest aspirations for its students. The vast majority of our sixth form teachers went to Russell Group universities and Oxbridge, and as such are perfectly placed to support our students to move onto the very best higher educational institutions.

Our enrichment offer ensures that students get used to university-style seminars, pursue work experience, and explore wider cultural opportunities. Through this, we seek to develop intellectual, socially minded individuals who can be the leaders of tomorrow.

Personal Development

Personal development is an important part of the 6th Form provision, as it encompasses not only academic excellence but also the cultivation of essential life skills such as critical thinking, emotional resilience and time management.

Through a balanced approach that integrates career guidance, study resources, wellbeing support, and super-curricular activities, students can develop a well-rounded skill set that prepares them for the challenges of higher education and the workforce. Emphasising personal growth, self-awareness, and proactive planning, 6th form personal development equips students to navigate their paths with confidence and purpose, ensuring they are well prepared for the opportunities and responsibilities that lie ahead.
